One reason why there are so many unwanted animals in shelters nowadays is that irresponsible owners do not spay/neuter their pets. Male dogs won't want to roam, male suitors won't be arriving to see your female, and it reduces aggresive behaviors. Also, your female dog won't return home pregnant. Come on, whadda you have to lose? If you think you can't afford it, search the Internet for low-cost or even free spay/neuter programs in your area. A local humane society might be a good place to check out. Remember: DON'T LITTER, SPAY AND NEUTER!!

One reason why there are so many unwanted animals in shelters nowadays is that irresponsible owners do not spay/neuter their pets.
